Artesano began long before the first empanada came out of the oven.
In 2020, Mey — who has always had a deep passion for cooking — began dedicating even more time to what she loves: cooking, creating, experimenting with recipes, and, above all, caring for our family through every dish she prepared.
Then, one day, she had an idea.
We have always loved empanadas. We’ve tasted them in different places around the world, and Mey wanted to create something of her own: something delicious, but also something made with purpose.
So, from our home, she began creating her first recipes from scratch.
As we watched our son grow and continued with our professional responsibilities, little by little, we began to feel that something special was taking shape.
We know that building something of your own is never easy. But we also know how fortunate we are to live in a country that allows us to work, create, serve, and pursue our dreams.
Since the day we arrived in the United States, serving our community with integrity has been an important part of our lives. Artesano became a new way for us to do that.
And perhaps one of our greatest hopes is that Lucas will grow up watching this journey and learning that dreams can be built when you are willing to work for them; that doing the right thing matters, that serving others matters, and that we should love what we do.
Today, we are deeply grateful to be able to do what we love and share it with others.
Every empanada, every pastry, and every cup of coffee that comes from Artesano carries a part of our story, our purpose, and the care we put into everything we do.
From our family to yours, thank you for being part of this journey.
